I read it close to ten years ago and it has a few interesting moments(his description of a crash on his bike will ring true for anyone), but overall it is a muddled attempt to glorify bike messengers as harbringers of wisdom and some kind of cosmic order or some such. Most it's just about him breaking up with one girlfriend after another.
